Why horse massage?
Since 60%
of a horse’s body weight is muscle, musculoskeletal problems are the
leading cause of poor performance, behavioral and emotional problems.
Each session
starts with a full evaluation of the horse and its movements. Then, the horse
is massaged from head to hoof using various massage techniques such as cross-fiber
friction, pressure point, compression and stretching. Reiki, an energy healing
technique, also deeply relaxes the horse and helps to deal with deep rooted
emotional and behaviorial problems. Therapeutic essential oils are applied
for maximum healing benefits. During and after the session, the horse
will become relaxed and tranquil. You may see their head lower, eyes close,
and softer, easier bowel movements.
